How to get a ring off if its stuck!

What if you find that yourself needing to get your engagement or wedding ring off? The ring maybe stuck because it is just too small or you can’t get it over your knuckles. It can also be caused by your finger joints swelling and you can't easily remove the ring. When your wedding ring simply won’t budge, try these tricks.

A large number of household items such as hand creams, soapy waters, baby oils, etc can help ease the ring off. If you have sensitive skin, it is best to choose petroleum jelly or antibiotic ointment to release the ring. Use the cream on your knuckles first and then twist the ring around whilst applying more cream. You should be able to easily remove your ring.

You can use cold water to also help ease the ring off. Your fingers swell during hot months, so cooling your finger may make your finger shrink. Then you can ease your ring off. Just put your hands on cold water for a few minutes and then gently turn the ring.

After getting the ring off make sure you wash and clean your hands. You will need to keep the ring off until you have had it readjusted.

If all these fail and you will need to cut your ring. This will not hurt, the jeweller can fix and adjust the size of the ring for you, but please note that the tungsten carbide ring can only be cut and not resized.
